Sundown

Sundown is very much the star of our barn, not only for his athleticism, but also his goofy and outgoing personality.

We affectionately refer to him as the "Garbage Disposal" as we've yet to find a snack he'll refuse. So far, his favorites are peanut butter sandwiches, bananas, and french fries!

Competed:

May 2004 Taupo Bell Tea Trials - 12th place out of 38 horses in his class.  

September 2004 Dressage Competition at WEC Grounds - Grade Eventing Test C:6 (first equal placing) and Grade Eventing Test C:1 (second place).

October 2004 C & S Hawkes Bay Eventing ODT - 10th place out of 32 horses in his class.

April 2005 Mitavite Horse Trials FEI World Cup Qualifier - 2nd place out of 21 horses in his class.

May 2005 Wairarapa FEI CIC* - 15th place out of 41 horses in his class.

March 2006 Showfields Dressage Day - 1st place in elementary 3.2 and 2nd place in medium 4.4.

Sundown was previously owned by Robyn Jacobs, who evented him 1.20mtr showjumping.  Melanie was very proud of his perfomance after the dressage at the Bell Tea, having been his first time in such a large arena and trained for only a short time.  Melanie told us that Sundown is a brilliant natured horse, who is willing to please.  We look forward to hearing more about him.
